17 SDGs Executive Council Inc.
United Nations Association of the United States of America, Southern Palmetto State Chapter (UNA-USA, SPSC)
The 17 Sustainable Development Goals Executive Council Inc.'s (17 SDGs) mission as a CEDEC organization is to educate and enhance the community, growth, economic development, and employment opportunities through innovative and creative initiatives.
In addition, the 17 SDGs Executive Council Inc. advocates for the goals and mission set by the United Nations via education, community programs, and initiatives with a specific focus on the 17 Sustainable Development Goals - (17 SDGs).
As an advocate for the betterment of humanity, the council focuses on building community bridges and increasing awareness and understanding of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and their global impact on our communities.
In 2017, we expanded our outreach efforts and partnered with the United Nations Association of the United States of America, making it the first of its kind in the area.
As President and CEO of the United Nations Association of the United States of America - Grand Strand, South Carolina, I take pride in the commitment and service to the UNA- USA.
The United Nations Association of the United States, a program of the United Nations Foundation, works day in and day out to support the mission of the UN by connecting Americans to the work of the UN and advocating for strong US leadership within the UN. UNA-USA is affiliated with the World Federation of United Nations Associations, which began in 1946 as a public movement for the UN.
The United Nations is the one organization with the vision and reach to address the world’s most pressing challenges. The UN is an international organization, not a government. As a result, its effectiveness depends on the participation of 193 sovereign member states and the backing of citizens around the world.
The goal is to continue the mission of educating and uplifting
the community.
*To be a source of education for the community.
*To bring awareness to issues that are impacting communities.
*To be an ambassador and liaison for the UNA-USA national headquarters.
*To advocate for the goals that have been set by the United Nations.
*To start a dialogue between the community and community leaders.
